Drive Assist Evaluation Center Completed

Alpine’s Drive Assist Evaluation Center has been completed at the Iwaki headquarters in Japan. The new 53,000-square-meter facility—which includes a vibration test course—was completed in about one year’s time after starting construction in October 2006.
The new test course has a total length of 900 meters, is applicable to both right- and left-side traffic and takes into account the existing traffic regulations of different countries. It features a professional circuit allowing speeds of even 100km/hour, and includes a variety of driving conditions, including narrow streets and tunnels.
Alpine aims to develop the best monitoring and information devices to aid in safe, secure driving for drivers all over the world.
